Having read the articles about child abuse in the Kennebec Journal (April 1) brings to mind what I consider to be the ultimate child abuse: Abortion.

Innocent children are slaughtered daily across our country and around the world. When we don’t have respect for defenseless babies, which don’t seem to matter, is it any wonder there is rampant child abuse?
