Kay is an expert in chit-chatting with a degree from the Arthur L. Carter School of Journalism at New York University. Kay joined Masthead Maine as a reporter for The Franklin Journal and Livermore Falls Advertiser in 2021. She joined the Press Herald business team in March of 2023.

RSU 9 in Farmington proposes $40.1 million budget for 2022-23 school year
The budget is a $1.23 million (3.17%) increase over 2021-22. Increased spending areas of note include a 646.60% increase for food services, 8.01% increase for school administration, 13.45% increase for facilities and maintenance, a 5.3% increase for special instruction and debt service with a 9.56% decrease.
