HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBAL: Skowhegan racks up yards in win
Kaleb Brown took the opening kickoff 69 yards, the Indians quickly scored and led Edward Little less than three minutes into the game. Skowhegan took it from there, racking up 475 yards of offense in a 51-29 Pine Tree Conference Class A football victory Friday night at Clark Field.

OAKLAND — Brunswick star running back Jared Jensen had been averaging nearly 300 yards per game. On Friday night, Messalonskee held him to 80 yards on 21 carries. The Eagles limited Brunswick to 159 total yards, including 39 in the second half.

HIGH SCHOOL FIELD HOCKEY: Mt. View earns wet win
WATERVILLE — On a miserable, rainy day, the field hockey game between Mt. View and Waterville was moved from Waterville Senior High School to Thomas College. Mt. View sophomore Kersey Boulay probably wouldn’t have minded if the game had been postponed, or perhaps moved to a dome.
