HARNESS RACING: Wholly Louy cruises to victory at Hight
Wholly Louy came into the Walter H. Hight Invitational at the Skowhegan State Fair on Saturday riding a three-race winning streak and scored a convincing win in 1 minute, 53.3 seconds. Dream Well and driver Shane Taggart, who went off at nearly 18-to-1 odds, were a surprise second, and Mr Nice Guy was third in the strong five-horse field.

AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL: Pastime Club rallies to eliminate Post 51
Trailing by a run in the ninth inning, Pastime Club of Lewiston tied the score on a two-out error, then scored the winning run on a bases-loaded walk to eliminate Post 51, 5-4, on the final day of the American Legion baseball state tournament at The Ballpark.
