AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL: Gardiner, Post 51 to play for Zone 2 title
AUGUSTA — Gardiner and Post 51 advanced to the American Legion baseball Zone 2 championship with their play on Sunday. Gardiner defeated Madison, 12-2, in the winners’ bracket game, while Post 51 eliminated South China Subway, 11-10, and Madison, 11-1.

WATERVILLE — This winter, the finalists for the Miss Maine Field Hockey Award were Skowhegan’s Nicole Sevey and Jessie Skillings, Messalonskee’s Katie Bernatchez and Marissa Shaw of Nokomis. On Saturday, all of them were teammates.
