    Congress acts quickly when inconvenienced

    Congress' inaction furloughed air traffic controllers and closed small airports. It was an inconvenience for American citizens and nation. Sorry, they said, live with it.

    In Bible, Jesus gives definition of marriage

    The Rev. Alexis Fuller-Wright wrote a letter to the editor published on March 29 in which she said she is a Christian pastor of the United Church of Christ. She stated that she and her denomination believe that marrying same-sex couples is perfectly all right. She and her church are against the federal Defense of Marriage Act, which specifies marriage only as one man and one woman.

    Governor, not schools, should receive an F

    I would find it amusing that the governor released his school "report cards" just as school districts are developing their budgets for next year, except that the proposed cuts are no laughing matter.
