Disagreement doesn’t mean prejudice, hatred
I just read the letter by Matthew Raymond of Augusta (Aug. 4). Endearing to hear such a well-spoken young man stating a "vote against gay marriage is a vote for prejudice and hatred."

Nation has suffered from greed of gun industry
In light of David H. Mills' letter (Aug. 4), "Gun ownership limited to members of militia," I am sure the NRA will be more than ready to continue to buy off our politicians with its millions of dollars. This will continue until the unrepresented majority of outraged citizens say, "It is enough killing."
