Thousands attend Moose Permit Lottery in Augusta, and only a lucky few will go on the hunt of a lifetime
Out of 72,446 applicants, only 4,106 were chosen Saturday afternoon to receive a moose hunting permit in the state lottery. 46,242 applicants were residents, and the other 26,204 were non-residents, marking the highest number of applicants since 2003.
