Falmouth finishes No. 1 in final Varsity Maine boys lacrosse poll

Navigators took over top spot a few weeks ago, then went out and proved it.

Thornton is ranked No. 1 for the first time this season.

The top-ranked Navigators dominate the second half, winning their second state championship in three years.

The boys beat Camden Hills to win their fourth straight title, while the girls take their third in a row with a victory over Brunswick.

Helena Nelson, a sophomore, and Cici Benson, a freshman, figured out how to play together, and it helped the Navigators win another state title.
